Harbour Master Vacancy
Warkworth Harbour Commissioners have a vacancy for the position of Harbour Master jointly working a 7 day week in rotation with the Harbour Masters Assistant. The Harbour Master is legal authority for the Port and is responsible for enforcing its regulations, and controls over the Harbour Side, water space, moorings, oil spill controls and ensuring best practice and safety procedures on the quayside. The role is very hands on and the successful candidate would be involved in all the maintenance that is required in a small Port with small fleet of commercial fishing vessels, leisure vessels and a large footfall. The Harbour Master would report to the Board and attend Commissioners meeting to give reports.
